1Password appears to offer two Chrome extensions and 1 native desktop app on Mac. The chrome extension 1PasswordX asks me for my 1Password master password on every single page I browse to. If you no longer have access to the registered email on your Steam account, there’s a different set of steps to recover your account.

  1. Open Steam application.
  2. Click on I CAN’T SIGN IN button.
  3. Select I Forgot my Steam Account name or password.
  4. Enter your email address or phone number.

    This should be the email address or phone number associated with your account when you created it.

  5. Click SEARCH button.
  6. Click on EMAIL AN ACCOUNT VERIFICATION CODE TO option.
  7. Get the code from your email, enter it in Steam, then Click CONTINUE.
  8. Click on the SELECT button for the account that you want to update.
  9. Click on CHANGE MY PASSWORD.
  10. Enter and re-enter your new password, then click on CHANGE PASSWORD button.

What to do if you want to change Steam password but you have no email access anymore?

If you want to change your Steam password but the email associated with your account is no longer active or accessible, you’ll have to contact Valve directly in order to prove that you are the real owner. Here’s how it’s done:

  1. Open Steam application.
  2. Click on I CAN’T SIGN IN button.
  3. Select I Forgot my Steam Account name or password.
